Paint facts

The first applications of paint date back many centuries to when man mixed clays and water and used these colours to record events on rock surfaces. These progressed to incorporating the juices of plants and fruits to natural pigments and from there to the modern surface coating industry.

Today there are many paint manufacturers, all offering their own paint brands. When comparing brands, consider the differences between cheap and premium quality paints.

Low quality paints have significantly more fillers and water, which are relatively cheaper ‘ingredients’. They have lower percentages of the higher quality substances, such as pigment and binder.
